KWASU Extends Deadline for Post-UTME Registration for 2018/2019 Academic Session

This is to inform the public especially candidates who would like to apply for the Post-UTME screening exercise of the Kwara State University (KWASU) for 2018/2019 Academic Session that the deadline for the  Registration has been extended.

The deadline which was earlier stated to be May 2nd, 2018 has been extended to May 16th, 2018.

All candidates who are interested in registering for the screening can proceed to do so on or before the new deadline.

KSUSTA Extends Postgraduate Registration Deadline for 2017/2018 Academic Session


This is to inform all the postgraduate students of the Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero (KSUSTA) that the management has approved a new deadline for the 2017/2018 academic session registration.

The registration exercise that was earlier scheduled to end on 23rd April, 2018 has been extended by additional 3 weeks. So the new deadline is Friday, 11th May, 2018 and it shall a fee of N2,000 (two thousand naira) per week as penalty for late registration.

I WRITE TO INFORM YOU THAT, THE DEAN OF POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL HAS ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL APPROVED ADDITIONAL THREE (3) WEEKS OF FINAL EXTENSION OF REGISTRATION WITH EFFECT FROM MONDAY, 23RD APRIL, 2018 TO FRIDAY, 11TH MAY, 2018 WHICH SHALL ATTRACT A FEE OF ₦2,000 PER WEEK AS CHARGES FOR LATE REGISTRATION.
STUDENTS WHO COULD NOT REGISTER AFTER THE EXPIRATION OF THE ADDITIONAL TWO WEEKS OF FINAL EXTENSION PERIOD WOULD BE ASKED TO DEFER THEIR PROGRAMME TO THE NEXT ACADEMIC SESSION. THANK YOU. .

FUOTUOKE Announces Postponement of 2017/2018 First Semester Examination

Senate, at its 50th meeting held on Thursday April 26, 2018, considered the conduct of the First Semester Examination of 2017/2018 Academic Session. It noted that there was a disruption of the examination on Monday April 23, 2018 that led to its suspension. It also noted related issues.

Consequent upon the above, Senate has approved:

THE SUSPENSION OF THE 2017/2018 FIRST SEMESTER EXAMINATION UNTIL MONDAY MAY 7, 2018;
THAT NO MORE REQUESTS FOR EXTRA UNITS SHOULD BE ENTERTAINIED;
THAT THE UNIVERSITY PORTAL WILL BE OPEN UNTIL 12:00 MIDNIGHT FRIDAY MAY 4, 2018 FOR THE PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES AND COURSE REGISTRATION;
THAT THE FIRST SEMESTER EXAMINATION OF THE 2017/2018 ACADEMIC SESSION WILL COMMERCE ON MONDAY MAY 7, 2018; AND
THAT NO UNREGISTERED STUDENT WILL TAKE PART IN THE EXAMINATIONS.

Accordingly, all students are to be guided by the above decisions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (HND) PROGRAMMES
Applicants for admission into the HND programmes should have the following qualifications:

National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant field and five relevant O/L credit passes at WASC, GCE, NECO and NABTEB at not more than two sittings. These credit passes must include English Language and Mathematics.
Evidence of one year post - National Diploma (ND) cognate experience (i.e. Industrial Training)
Applicants with Pass Grade in the National Diploma (ND) will be required to have at least two years Post-National Diploma industrial experience.
Applicants for Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology (Post-Harvest option) are required to have at least a Lower Credit grade at National Diploma (ND) programme in any of the following:
Agricultural and Bio-Environmental Engineering Technology
Agricultural Technology
Food Science Technology
Agricultural Engineering Technology
Applicants for Metallurgical Engineering Technology should be graduates of National Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering Technology only.
Applicants for Mining Engineering Technology should be graduates of National Diploma in either Mineral Resources Engineering, Mineral & Petroleum Resources Engineering or Mining Engineering Technology only.
Holders of ND Computer Engineering are not admissible into HND Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology and HND Computer Science Programmes.
Holders of ND Mass Communication will not be admitted into HND Public Administration.
Candidates will not be admitted into HND programmes different from those they had in their ND programmes.
Candidates should have remedied their O Level deficiency before applying for the HND programme.
Candidates for the HND programmes with options should indicate the option they prefer in their Application Forms.
IT IS MANDATORY FOR HND FULL TIME APPLICANTS TO FILL THE JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBERS USED FOR THEIR ND PROGRAMMES. ONLY APPLICANTS WITH JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBERS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION.
NATIONAL DIPLOMA (ND) PROGRAMMES (PART-TIME)
Applicants for admission into Part-Time National Diploma (ND) programmes will be required to have a minimum of five O/L Credits in relevant subjects at SSCE, GCE, NECO and NABTEB at not more than two sittings.
CREDIT PASSES IN MATHEMATICS AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARE COMPULSORY FOR ALL APPLICANTS SEEKING ADMISSION INTO ANY PROGRAMME IN THE POLYTECHNIC. IN ADDITION, THE OTHER THREE SUBJECTS MUST BE RELEVANT TO THE COURSE OF CHOICE.
ALL PART-TIME APPLICANTS ARE ADVISED TO SIT FOR UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATION (UTME).
