ABU's best graduating student Get NNPC scholarship

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation has announced the award of a full postgraduate scholarship to the 2016/ 17 best graduating student of the Ahmadu Bello University , Zaria .
The Group Managing Director of the Corporation, Dr. Maikanti Baru , announced the scholarship in a statement by NNPC spokesman , Ndu Ughamadu .
Baru said the recipient, Al -Amin Bugaje , would be sponsored to further his education up to PhD level in any institution anywhere in the world .
Bugaje , 23 , bagged a First Class degree in Electrical Engineering with the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average of 4 .93 to emerge the university ’s overall best graduating student .
“This gesture is in line with NNPC ’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of championing educational excellence nationwide.
“We also want to encourage other students who are still in school to aspire towards achieving excellence in their academic pursuits ,” Baru , himself a First -Class degree holder in Mechanical Engineering from the ABU , said .
Responding , an elated Bugaje expressed his gratitude to the NNPC for giving him the opportunity to further his education , stressing that he was “shocked ” to hear the GMD announce the scholarship gesture to him .
“I thank the NNPC for this wonderful opportunity to go and compete with the best of the best in the world .
”Hopefully, I will utilise this opportunity to go and groom myself the more and see how we can come back to contribute our quota to nation -building , ” Bugaje said .
The Vice -Chancellor of the University , Prof . Ibrahim Garba , lauded NNPC ’s support to the institution ’s best graduating student , saying , “It is very encouraging on the part of the corporation .
“It will show the way to other corporate bodies to follow suit and invest in education.
“It also shows NNPC as not only a critical supporter of the nation ’s economy , but also a pillar in the nation ’s educational development .”
The vice chancellor also thanked the GMD for his gesture in supporting the university’s mini-petroleum refinery project, saying that most of the milestones achieved in the refinery initiative came from the NNPC.
Baru delivered the Pre - Convocation Lecture where he harped on the need for Nigeria to diversify its economic base from the vulnerability and fragility of oil and gas revenue.
A total of 50 of the 8 ,260 undergraduates bagged first degrees , 3,600 were awarded postgraduate diplomas , 256 graduated with PhD and 2,300 obtained masters degrees across the university’s 13 faculties . ( NAN )

Federal University Oye-ekiti (FUOYE) Acceptance Fee Payment Procedure 2017/2018

The management of Federal University Oye-ekiti (FUOYE) has published the Acceptance fee payment and registration procedure for newly admitted students in the 2017/2018 academic session.

All Registration Exercise are Strictly Online and no Examination will be required at any time.

Candidates are to follow the instructions as given below;

Step 1: You are required to accept this Offer on or before 4th December 2017. Details of registration procedure are as follows:.

Step 2: Logon to http://ecampus.fuoye.edu.ng/putme and login with your JAMB Registration Number
Note: You will be required to Login using Jamb Registration Number e.g 76510415CA 

Step 3: Upon Login Click on “Check Admission Status” to check admission status. If admitted, click on the “Accept Admission Offer” button to commence initial registration rights on the “Undergraduate Portal”

Step 4: Once "Admission Offer" is accepted, an account will be created for automatically on the undergraduate Portal and a password change will be required.

Step 5: Note that your initial password is "password", provide any desired password of your choice in the new password fields to change your password. [Note: Ensure to choose password you can remember.]
Note: An Email containing the details of your new account setup will be sent to your mail for future reference in case you forget.

Step 6: Once password is changed successfully, you will be prompted to login again using your JAMB RegNo and your newly created password.

Step 7: Your profile details will pop-up for you to confirm and validate your information. You will be allowed at this point to change your passport if you desire to change it.
Note: Ensure to use a valid email Address and Phone Number. Frequently check this mail for updates and information from time to time

Step 8: After updating your information, a confirmation link will be sent to your email box provided. Logon to your E-mail and click on the account activation link.

Step 9: Upon account validation you will be required to pay a non-refundable sum of Thirty-Five Thousand Naira (N35,000.00) only as Acceptance Fee

Step 10: After payment of Acceptance fee, Print Out your Admission Letter and get the under listed documents ready for screening:


-Admission letter (coloured)
-POST UTME Screening Registration/result Slip
-Acceptance Fee receipt
-Two passport Photographs
-One Office Flat file
-Photocopy of UTME 2017 Result Slip
-Photocopies and Original copies of O’level results uploaded during the screening exercise
-Birth Certificate/Declaration of Age
-Medical Certificate from FUOYE Health Services Unit


Step 11: Once your screening is completed log on to the portal to print out your Screening Certificate for onward Registration

Important Information
Do not pay school fees until you have been screened accordingly. Failure to follow the aforementioned instructions is strictly at your own risk.

JAMB 2017 Admission Status Direct Portal Enabled

The direct link for 2017 UTME candidates to check their admission status on JAMB Portal via their JAMB profile has been enabled.

We advised candidates who are having issues checking their admission status on JAMB CAPS to do so via the direct admission status link on their profiles:

How To Check Your Admission Status Via your JAMB Profile

-Candidates are tom log on to http://www.jamb.org.ng/eFacility/
-Enter your Username and Password in the spaces provided and click "Login" to have access to your profile
-On your Dashboard, click on the "Admission Status" tab or click on "Admission Status" among the list of services at the left hand side of the page
-On the next page that opens, select your examination Year (2017)
-Enter your JAMB Registration Number in the space provided
-Click on "Check Admission Status" to view your admission details

Sokoto State University Admission List 2017/2018 Released

The management of Sokoto State University (SSU) has released its admission list for 2017/2018 academic session.

Candidates were selected based on their successful performance in the 2016/2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Post-UTME.

Candidates can their admission status online via the school's portal.

How To Check Your Admission Status
-Visit screening.ssu.edu.ng/index.php
-Enter username and Password in the space provided
-Click on "Login" and proceed to view your admission details.

Candidates are to also check JAMB CAPS to accept their admission and print Admission Letter.

Registration of newly admitted students is scheduled to commence on Monday 4th to Monday 18th December, 2017 from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Thursdays and 1 pm on Fridays.

Successful candidates are, therefore, advised to proceed to the University Registration Venue (Twin Lecture Theater at the University Main campus) for registration.

Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE) Resumption Date For Returning Students 2017/2018

This is to inform all returning students of Federal University of Petroleum Resources Effurun (FUPRE) that the resumption date for the 2017/2018 academic session has been announced.

The resumption date and commencement of course registrations for all returning students begin November 29th, 2017.

Lectures begin on 4th December 2017. 

A new resumption date will be announced soon for all fresh students.

The management of University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has released the postgraduate admission list for 2017/2018 academic session.
