ELIGIBILITY

KWASU Post-UTME 2018: Eligibility And Registration Details Out
1. Those whose choice of Institution (First or Second) is Kwara State University, Malete; and

2. Those interested in Admission into Kwara State University, Malete (KWASU) but have not made it their Choice. All candidates must have five (5) o’ level credits in relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings. Candidates awaiting O’ level results can also apply but they will not be considered for admission until their results are available.

-Once your payment is successful, you will be automatically directed to your registration page where you can complete other stages.

After completing the registration stages, it is important to print your Registration form and Payment Receipt.

Adeyemi College Matriculates 4,178 Students for 2017/2018 Academic Session

The authorities of Adeyemi College of Education ( ACE) Ondo have administered matriculation oath on 4,178 newly admitted students in the institution.

 The number  is made up of  2,214 and 1,964  Degree and Nigeria  Certificate in Education ( NCE) students respectively who were admitted into five schools in the College which include Arts and Social Sciences, Languages, Education,  Science as well as  Vocational and Technical Education

Speaking at the ceremony held on Thursday April 26, 2018 in the institution, the Vice- Chancellor of the Obafemi  Awolowo University, ( OAU) Ile- Ife, Prof. Eyitope  Ogunbodede represented by the Dean Faculty of Education in the University, Prof. Bayode Popoola while addressing the degree students,  described matriculation ceremony as an important occasion, which mark the formal admission of students into the College ( University) and create forum for them to pledge allegiance to the authority of the institutions.

While stressing the need for the newly admitted students to regard the matriculation ceremony as defining moment in their lives, the Vice-Chancellor admonished them to abide with the oath of allegiance by exhibiting good behaviour  and refrain from any act of indiscipline and disorderliness during " the duration of their time as students " in the college.

Reiterating the readiness of the institution to groom them in learning and character, Prof. Ogunbodede said the move is aimed at making students of the College to become intellectually sound, emotional stable, morally upright and properly fit to take up positions of responsibilities wherever they may find themselves in the future.

He emphasized the need for discipline saying "you cannot strive for excellence, if you are not disciplined. We live in a civilized society and civility must reflect in all our actions. The College is governed by rules and regulations and there are procedures for engaging in various activities. I therefore urged all students to carefully read the regulations which are available on the college's website and follow the procedures accordingly ".

The Vice-Chancellor advised the students to pay attention to their studies stating that the decision would enable them to graduate with flying colours, he equally  warned them from associating with undesirable elements so " as not to be lured into cultism and other anti- social activities that could affect their academic career."

Also in his address to the degree and NCE students at two different occasions at the same venue,   the Provost of the College, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, described matriculation ceremony as rite of passage which mark the point of entry and confer membership of students into higher institutions.

He congratulate the matriculating students  for securing admission into the College and felicitate with their parents, guardians  and sponsors, for providing the necessary support for them.

Describing the formal admission of the students into the institution as a thing of joy and beginning of new phase of academic  life, Prof. Ogen advised them to guard their ambitions and dream jealousy and refrain from being distracted in the course of pursuing their dreams and aspirations.

He said "I implore you, never be distracted, never  lose focus. It is true that some of you have never been away from home and outside the umbrella of your parents and guardians until now. The freedom could be intoxicating: we have also been here and we understand"


The College administrator also used the occasion to warn the students against indulging in vices and social ills saying " Let me at this juncture inform you that our College has zero tolerance for cultism, rape, prostitution, indecency examination malpractice, violence, vandalism and disrespect for fellow students.

" All these contravene what the College stands for and the College takes a very firm stance against such. Culpable individuals will squarely face the law as we jeep improving our security apparatus to ensure lawbreakers are caught and appropriately punished, " he remarked.

Assuring the students of peaceful and memorable sojourn during their stay in the institution, the Provost said " the College has one of the best ICT infrastructure among Nigerian tertiary institutions and have blazed the trail in many endeavours. We have a faculty any institution can be proud of. We blaze the trail everywhere we go.

"We have lived up to our title as the foremost teacher training institution in Nigeria and you are welcome into that tradition of  excellence " he stated.

The  high point of the ceremony was the admission of oath of allegiance on the students by the Registrar of the institution, Mrs. Olufisayo Fakorede.

The programme held at the Babatunde Ipaye Lecture theatre was attended by principal officers of the College including the Deputy Provost, Dr. Samuel Akintunde, Bursar, Mr.  Ganiyu Abdul and  Acting Librarian, Mr. Akinade Awoyemi.

Also in attendance were Deans and Directors, Heads of Departments and Units as well as staff of the College from various units including Information and Public Relations, Provost Office,  Music Department, Divisions of Admissions, Student Affairs among others.

FULOKOJA Gets Full Accreditation For All Science Programmes

Following the release of the results of March, 2018 Re-Accreditation Exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC), the University Management is glad to announce to the University Community and the general public that Federal University Lokoja has earned FULL ACCREDITATION for all her Academic Programmes in the Faculty of Science - Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Mathematical Sciences and Physics.

AAUA Announces Further Reduction in School Fees

The Management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, has announced a further reduction in the fees payable by all categories of students in the Institution.

In a statement signed by the Registrar, Mr. Sunday Ayeerun, the downward review was sequel to the intervention of the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, following pleas from various quarters and stakeholders including students, parents, alumni, guardians and unions.

The new fees regime shows that fresh students in the Faculties of Arts and Education would now pay the sum of N100, 000 per session or N50, 000 per semester, rather than the initial sum of N150, 000 per session they were to pay. Fresh students in the Faculties of Agriculture, Law, Science, and Social and Management Sciences are now expected to pay a reduced N150, 000 per session or N75, 000 per semester.

Returning students in the Faculties of Arts and Education would now pay N80, 000 per session or N40, 000 per semester, while returning students in the Faculties of Agriculture, Law, Science, and Social and Management Sciences are now required to pay N100, 000 per session or N50, 000 per semester.

The statement added that all final year students would pay a uniform fee of N70, 000 per session or N35, 000 per semester.

The Registrar further urged all fresh and returning students to pay their school fees and resume as earlier scheduled.

FUBK 2nd Semester Resumption Date for 2017/2018 Academic Session Announced


The management of Federal University Birnin-Kebbi (FUBK) has announced the 2nd semester resumption date for 2017/2018 Academic Session.

The resumption date for 2nd semester 2017/2018 Academic Session is May 7th, 2018.

Students are to note also that lectures will commence immediately.

All students are therefore advised to comply accordingly.

Matriculating Students are advised to collect University Academic Gowns from their Faculty officer, after payment of the prescribed N1000 fee at the University Micro Finance Bank.

UNIZIK Expels 15 Students

The University Management, at its 336th Regular meeting held on Monday, 23rd October, 2017 considered the report of the Student’s Disciplinary Committee on the case of an attempt on the life of the erstwhile Anti-cult Director leveled against Michael Emeka of the Department of Industrial/Production Engineering with Registration No. 2010374146, Henry Agudiegwu of the Department of Educational Foundations with Registration No.2014203024, Okeke Celestina of the Department of Computer Science, with Registration No. 2009513052, Richard Felix of the Department of Cooperative Economics & Management (Diploma).

Also, Management considered the case of Forgery of school fees print out, Bank Teller and Remita print out leveled against Awoyemi Oluwadotun Elijah of the Department of Adult Education, with Registration No. 2015664040, Okwulor Peter of the Department of Industrial Chemistry, with Registration No. 2009543305.

Also, the case of alleged forgery of Degree result leveled against Atakulu Gregory M. of the Department of Business Administration, with Registration No. 2010424164, Iwobi Augustine I. of the Department of Business Administration (CEP), with Registration No. 2001423353.

Furthermore, the case of Smoking of Indian Hemp has been leveled against Ayamelu Francis of the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences, with Registration No. 20103614224, Ezeonu Chinaza of the Department of English Language & Literature with Registration No. 2013142221. The case of Stealing, fighting and Cultism at village park lodge Okofia leveled against Joseph Ikechukwu of the Department of Anatomy with Registration No. 2014704392, Amaka Nkem of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation, with Registration No. 2013624272, Isinetugo Christopher of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation, Ibekwe Ejike of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation, with Registration No. 2013624122.

And, the case of Intimidation, Extortion and threat to life leveled against Isidienu Alexander of the Department of Psychology, with Registration No. 2012374084.

Consequent upon the above, Management has directed that the above students be expelled, and they are hereby expelled from the University with immediate effect.

Also, they are directed to surrender their student identity cards and any property of the University in their possession, to the Security Department and totally keep off from the University premises.

SUSPENSION

The University Management, at its 336th Regular meeting held on Monday, 23rd October, 2017 considered the report of the Student’s Disciplinary Committee on the case of willful assault and destruction of properties leveled against Audu Augustine of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science with Registration No.2008614156.

Consequent upon the above, Management directed that she be suspended from the University for two (2) years with effect from 2017. She will forthwith refund the sum of N34, 359.00 to Ebere Onedibe through the Dean Students’ Affairs. She would also sign an undertaking to be of good conduct and not to further threaten or harass Ebere Onedibe directly or indirectly. Also, she is directed to surrender her students’ identity card and any property of the University in her possession to the Security Department and totally keep off from the University premises.

CRUTECH Announces Deadline for Payment of Fees to Retain Admission Status by First Year Students for 2017/2018 Academic Session

This is to inform all staff and students of Cross River University of Technology that due to numerous appeals from parents, staff and students on the need to give opportunity to First Year Students who have yet paid their fees for 2017/18 Academic Session to do so. Management has magnanimously directed as follows:

All First Year Students should pay their full school fees on or before 30th April, 2018.

Only First Year Students who have met the about condition will be eligible to participate in the First Semester Examinations.

Complying with the condition will also facilitate the generation of matriculation numbers for all eligible students, possession of matriculation number is a prerequisite for participation in the examinations

First Year Students who fail to pay up their full school fees on or before the stipulated date shall forfeit their admission and/or studentship in the University for 2017/2018 Academic Session.

First Year students who pay full school fees after 30th April, 2018 shall be allowed to defer admission to 2018/2019 Academic Session.

All concerned should please note and comply with these directives.

UNILORIN Postgraduate Admission Form for 2018/2019 Academic Session

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into various Postgraduate degree programmes of the University.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Only Courses available for the session are advertised and as such Candidates are advised to select courses available in this advertisement.
Candidates are advised to PRINT out the advertisement and STUDY thoroughly before COMMENCING the application procedure.
POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES OFFERED

1. Ph.D. Degree Programmes
These are available to holders of M.A; M.Ed.; M.Eng.; M.Sc.; LL.M; M.Comm.H.; and M.P.H degrees, with a minimum of 60% or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score in their Master degree programmes.  A Ph.D. degree programme runs for a minimum period of 36 calendar months and a maximum period of 60 calendar months for full-time candidates OR a minimum period of 48 calendar months and a maximum period of 72 calendar months for part-time candidates. Relevant Courses will be taken for the Ph.D. studies where prescribed and a Thesis is required at the end of the Ph.D. programme.


           2.M.Phil /Ph.D. Degree Programmes

Candidates who score between 55.00 and 59.99 percent can apply for admission into the Master of Philosophy (M.Phil/Ph.D.) degree programme. The M.Phil/Ph.D. degree programme is available only to full-time candidates. It runs for a minimum period of 12 calendar months and a maximum period of 24 calendar months and a Dissertation is produced after the research work. Candidates in this category are eligible for conversion to Ph.D. candidature, following a progress assessment report to be made by a Panel of Examiners at the end of the first session of registration. To be eligible for conversion for the Ph.D. program, candidates are expected to score not less than 60% (aggregate) at the end of the first session.


          3.Master Degree Programmes

M.A.; M.Ed.; M.Eng.; M.Sc.; M.Com.H., LL.M and M.P.H. degrees run for a minimum period of 18 calendar months and a maximum period of 36 calendar months for full-time candidates OR a minimum period of 36 calendar months and a maximum period of 48 calendar months for part-time candidates. All Master Degree Programmes are by course work. This is in addition to a research report at the end of which a Dissertation is produced.

         4.Postgraduate Diploma Degree Programmes

Postgraduate Diploma degrees are available to candidates with a Third class (honours) degree.

Applicants are to note that programmes automatically lapse at the expiration of the prescribed maximum duration for each programme.  However, a candidate may apply for an extension of not more than 12 months, in the first instance, subject to a maximum of two such extensions.
