According to the report, Universities with a large undergraduate enrolment typically offer a wider range of degree programs, academic stability, popularity, affordability, available facilities and quality of lecturers.

The 10 schools with the most undergraduate students are all Federal Universities – institutions that offer a range of undergraduate courses plus masters and doctoral programs.

Below is a list of the 10 ranked Nigerian Universities with the highest undergraduate student applications and their rankings by the National University Commission of Nigeria (NUC) in 2018. The figure below represents nearly 10 percent of the 1,212,818 total applicants seeking admissions.
